Each session of 50 minutes is $100. Additional time in increments of 25 minutes can be added at $50 per unit, according to the needs of the client.

Do you see Minors? How does that work?
I do accept clients 13 years and older. Minor clients can be seen under the consent of a legal guardian. If a minor’s parents are divorced, all legal documents pertaining to the custody of the minor must be submitted before the minor child can be seen, as well as consent from both parents unless custody documents indicate the independent or exclusive right for one parent to consent to treatment. I prefer to have a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation with parents before meeting with the minor child to go over expectations of confidentiality and to understand why they are seeking services for their child.
If you are seeing my child, how much will you tell me about their session?
The therapeutic relationship is the most vital piece to success in counseling. I work to create a trusting environment for all of my clients to feel at ease opening up and sharing their struggles in a way that facilitates appropriate strategies for change. For that reason, I use discretion in what I share with parents to ensure my minor clients know they can trust me. If something must be shared for purposes of safety, or to collaborate with parents to advance the goals of therapy, it is done with the minor’s knowledge and ideally their participation.

In what ways are the things I talk to you about protected?
I use Electronic Health Records (EHR) through a HIPPA-compliant software company, Simple Practice. Anything that is recorded throughout your treatment is done so using multi-factor authentication and other encryption ensuring the greatest protection of your personal health information (PHI).
Is there anything we discuss during session that might be shared with others? If so, under what circumstances?
Limitations of confidentiality are outlined in your intake paperwork, but some reasons that what you share in session may be shared with others include but are not limited to:
· Collaborating with other providers you are seeing to ensure your safety
· If I am subpoenaed by the court, I must provide what they request
· If I find out someone is at risk of endangering themselves or someone else
· If I need to consult with my supervisor on your case to ensure the best care
If it is ever shared, it is done so with your knowledge and with the greatest discretion. Your trust is of great importance to me, and I will protect your account with the utmost professional and ethical consideration.
Can we be friends on social media?
Due to ethical standards of the Counseling profession, I cannot be friends with any client on social media. It is important for me to maintain professional objectivity and personal relationships outside of the counseling session obscure that line which could result in biased care for you. However, you are welcome and encouraged to like and follow my business pages on Facebook and Instagram.

How many sessions will I need?
Each person is different, and the degree of counseling needed depends on a variety of factors. You can expect treatment to be as quick as multiple sessions, and may last several months to a year. In exceptional circumstances, monthly maintenance is recommended for individuals following intensive weekly counseling.
How do I know when I’m done with counseling?
We will regularly check in on goals we have made to see if counseling has been effective. Typically counseling concludes once the client has met their goals, and feels confident in navigating previous challenges with new strategies and skills on their own. It is also my responsibility to recognize when my services are not helping you meet your goals, and connect you to other practitioners who may be able to assist you more effectively.
Do you incorporate faith in your counseling?
At the request of my clients, I will happily incorporate faith into our sessions. Otherwise, I do not.
What does a typical session look like?
Typically, we begin our session together updating any improvements or changes since our last session. We review our goals for counseling and evaluate what areas may still need greater support. Ultimately, my sessions vary according to the needs of each unique client.
Where do your sessions take place?
I have a physical office space available Tuesdays and Thursdays off of IH45 and Sawdust, just north of Houston. I also offer virtual sessions throughout the state of Texas. Walk-and-talk sessions are available to established adult female clients upon request.
How do walk-and-talk sessions function differently than in-office or virtual sessions?
Walk-and-talk sessions take the traditional talk-therapy session out into nature! Much of the conversation will be the same, but will occur as we traverse the beautiful footpaths around The Woodlands. The service is available to adult female clients who have already been seen multiple times in-person.
Do you provide individual counseling to multiple members of the same family?
I am happy to work with multiple people from the same family, as is comfortable for each of them. I ensure complete confidentiality of each member, and do not share what is said in one session with another member of the family in another session.

Or…
Struggle in understanding who you are independent of those around you, fail to have a strong sense of what you want in relationships, find you continue to attract “the wrong people” despite trying to be selective in who you invest in, worry about saying “no” to friends and family for fear of letting them down, are unsure of how to prioritize your needs above the needs of those around you…
